I had the opportunity to be the lead front-end developer on what was thought to be a three month campaign, but was received so well Citibank decided to run the campaign nationally for the remainder of the year.

Normally not a huge fan of e-commerce work, the integration with Big Cartel helped me rethink that thought. With all platforms, customization provides it challenges but I was able to find solutions to pretty much all client requests. I jumped at the opportunity to experiment with Big Cartel and recommend it to anyone looking to develop an e-commerce foundation with less then 300 products.

jQuery prohibited! Really? always a plus to know pure javascript, many people think to themselves, "Yea jQuery is cool! It's so easy," but fail to learn the core javascript that jQuery is built on. We never know what requirements we might encounter or what technologies our clients will be able to support, in this case we were challenged by Metlife to rely solely on javascript. The ability to revert to pure javascript
easily, paid dividends for me as a lead developer and I was up to the challenge.

It's 5pm on Friday. I'm counting down the minutes till day's end, after a long week of meeting deadlines. I get a tap on the shoulder, “We need an hour of your time on another project to help the site launch for Monday morning.” 15 hours later, a full weekend of CSS and XHTML integrated in a CMS I've never used (named Red Dot), and the critical site successfully meets it's launch deadline.

If you saw this office, you would understand the imagination The Wonderfactory works with. It was no easy task integrating their creativity with web development. Previously, having a Flash composed site, the goal was to provide a flash-free site with flash like components. jQuery to the rescue. I was the lead front-end developer and completed the site with assistance from another developer.
